We aim to be right. When we are not, we say so.

How to report an error

Email us at the address on the Contact page. Please include the link to the story and tell us what is wrong and, if you can, where the correct information is.

What we do

• We check the report against the sources as soon as we can.
• If we got something wrong, we fix the article and add a dated note explaining the change, rather than quietly editing it.
• If a story cannot be supported by its sources, we remove it and say why.

Corrections log

Corrections are noted at the foot of the article concerned and the story’s updated date changes.
